Full Time Non-Management Jefferson Regional Main Hospital, Pine Bluff, AR, US

What You Should Know About theRegistered Nurse:

  • Variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on unit need. Refer back to posting on which shift is available. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.
  • This position is based within Jefferson Regional Nursing Departments. Refer back to posting on location.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of care for an assigned caseload of patients. This includes delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care, assuring responsibility for the appropriate utilization of resources, collaborating with medical staff and others in the provision of care, and demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem resolution. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the hospital setting. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Registered Nurse Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school program required.
  • Technical in Nursing required. Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • This is a Safety Sensitive Position.*
  • Basic proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
  • Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
  • Basic competency in documenting patient information accurately
  • Basic flexibility to adapt to changes in patient conditions and unit priorities
  • Provides compassionate support to patients and families, ensuring positive environment in the hospital
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience, particularly in an acute care setting preferred
  • Proficiency in electronic documentation preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills preferred.
