Job Overview
The Slotting Specialist will analyze data to track the progress of slotting strategies to reduce replenishment, increase pick efficiency and improve fill rate. Perform other duties as assigned.
Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. What You Will Do
  • Must have/ be willing to develop strong technical skills in our operating systems (WM, Pyramid, Slotting Tool, and WM Portal) and become the subject matter expert with our Slotting Tool and WM operating systems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills required
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to communicate across multiple levels of leadership throughout the facility and D2C network to include being an active member on Project Management Teams (PMT's)
  • Must have a professional and pro-active approach and be able to work as a team or as an individual with business partners inside/ outside our facility
  • Must be able to self-manage and complete work assignments with minimal Supervision
  • Must be organized and have the ability to present data in multiple formats (reports, spreadsheets, and email communication)
  • Associate will need to able to lead the slotting process and strategy for the entire facility on a daily basis (individual ownership). This position requires a high level of integrity and responsibility, as it will impact bottom line financial and inventory performance.
  • Must be able to physically view, check product attributes, and make changes as necessary to locate product into active as needed
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the operational Picking process and Pick Density
  • Must continually set and adapt strategies based on business needs
  • Based on the business needs, must be able to create constraints and goals
  • Must compile and analyze data to track the progress of slotting strategies to reduce replenishment, increase pick efficiency and improve fill rate
  • Must be able to critique system to look for potential problems/oversights having no prior data for analytical comparison
  • Must be a creative, assertive, innovative and decisive individual that wants to grow toward an executive level in Wave and Planning
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality

Who You Are
  • Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Access
    • Preferred experience supporting warehouse system - specifically Manhattan
  • Must be able to:
    • Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
    • Ability to read, understand and interpret employment policies, instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals in English
  • Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays

Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform
  • This position requires lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
    • Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
    • Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, and stooping
    • Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment

Supply Chain Only and Colleagues Working in a Supply Chain Facility except in locations governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement:
Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis, depending upon factors including but not limited to the size of the facility and the number of colleagues on roll. Colleagues will be randomly selected for testing by a third party. Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is informed of selection for testing, absent extenuating circumstances. In all circumstances, testing must be completed within 24 hours of notification.
