Job Details:

SUMMARY:

This position is part of Corporate Accounting's Commodity Risk Management accounting department (CRMa). This group works closely with the Commodity Procurement Group, Fresh Meats Risk Management and Prepared Foods Risk Management in reviewing, preparing, and reporting commodity hedge activity. This position will be primarily responsible for enhancing and streamlining current reporting processes and will also work closely with the Tyson IT Departments on special projects. Other supportive accounting related duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

Streamline current reporting through utilization of Copilot, Claude, Power BI, Python to leverage multiple data sources to maintain and create new reports in Commodity Risk Management business software and build dashboards utilizing the suite of departmental reports to automate manual operational processes in Commodity Risk Management business software utilizing scripting and SQL coding. Partner cross-functionally with Operations and other departments to ensure alignment with company policies and accurate financial reporting. Support internal and external audit activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Requires a Bachelor degree in an academic field directly related to the job being filled. Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics or Management Information Systems degree preferred, 12 hours minimum accounting preferred.
  • Experience: 1 plus years experience
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of SAP and proficient in Microsoft Excel/Access/Power BI; knowledge of analytical and coding platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, SharePoint, MS Power Apps) preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, presentation and verbal Communication Skills
  • Special Skills: Certified Public Accountant, eligible to sit for CPA exam, preferred, but not required. Strong analytical/critical thinking ability/skills.
  • Supervisory: None
  • Travel: 1 - 5 domestic trips per year.
