Position Specific Description

Responsible for performing activities based on direction from West Region Sales Leaders, and members of the West Region Sales Team, pertaining to a variety of analytical reports used by the Sales Team or in the assessment and resolution of customer requests and issues in a timely, cost-effective manner. Develops reports for internal and external parties, and conducts analytical research related to the energy industry to assist in creating reports and presentations for used to communicate with customers and prospects.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Establishes and maintains a collaborative relationship with members in other departments including scheduling, trading, credit, contracts, and accounting in addressing customer requests and issues, in a timely, cost-effective manner.
  • Manages customer-related inquiries and issues as directed by West Region Sales Leaders. Analyses information, collects and cross-references supporting documentation to identify the cause of issue or problem. Makes recommendation or provides resolution, effectively communicates resolution to applicable departments, and promptly provides resolution or feedback to customer(s) and sales representatives.
  • Evaluates contractual obligations, pricing, and volume/usage data and prepares pricing and volume reports for sales representatives and customers.
  • Prepares and sends weekly/monthly gas pricing estimate reports (including baseload, daily, imbalance gas cost analysis, fuel, and commodity calculations). Utilizes existing reports or prepares custom reports as requested by customers.
  • Assists Sales Team in deal entry and management of transactions, including, entry of fixed price transaction requests in Endur and Salesforce, and/or communication of transaction details in Outlook and/or Endur and Salesforce. Works with Sales and IT to develop margin tracking spreadsheet related to fixed price transactions. Creates and updates future fixed-price position reports for sales representatives and customers to assist with decisions for future gas purchase volumes and storage inventory management.
  • Assists in entry and management of customer-related information in Salesforce and generates reports in Salesforce to assist Sales Leaders and Sales Team.
  • Assists Sales Team in development and management of sales prospecting data. Additionally, works with Sales Team and Marketing Department to develop sales material to be used as part of targeted sales/marketing campaign and/or in direct interaction with identified customers and/or prospects.
  • Ensures accurate entry of first-of-month nominations and balance volumes in Endur and trading spreadsheets to communicate future monthly and daily gas purchase volumes.
  • Makes recommendations to sales representatives and/or trading/scheduling regarding nomination changes to manage monthly/daily imbalances for customers or a pool of customers. Interprets and understands pipeline cash-out methodology or penalties and makes recommendations in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Reviews and verifies customer invoices for volume and pricing accuracy prior to being sent to customers.
  • Utilizes problem-solving and multi-tasking skills to manage daily work requirements along with interruptions of additional requests.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Preferred Experience 

  • Two (2) years operations or sales support including vendor and customer relationship building programs.
Job Overview

The job is responsible for supporting the Origination Team with pre and/or post technical consulting activities, including gaining an understanding of customer needs, identifying new customers, researching and analyzing public information, and applying current business strategies to help the origination Team with strategic decisions. Employees in this role the "back office" support to the "front office" to develop presentation materials for potential customers, work on market intelligence materials to support the origination group, and maintain Origination reporting needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

   Conducts conference calls with potential customers and front line originators to understand their needs
   Researches public information about potential customers and/or competitors, analyzes data, and formulates a summary and/or recommendation to present to the Origination team
   Produces origination CRM reports and performs overall CRM maintenance
   Prepares customer presentation materials
   Manages origination reporting needs to upper management
   Assists in the preparation of presentations to support approval of proposed transactions and obtain transaction approvals on a timely basis
   Coordinates efforts between several different groups within the organization such as Communications, IT, and Investor Relations
   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

The estimated base pay for this position is $69,600.00 to $104,400.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
