Description

We are seeking an experienced ETRM Business Analyst with deep expertise in Endur to join the Marketing Systems, Processes & Data team at our Calgary Head Office. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of trading, operations, and technology, partnering directly with business stakeholders to design and implement solutions that enable new trading strategies, products, and capabilities. The role is focused on configuring and enhancing Endur to support the full trade lifecycle, from deal capture through risk management, scheduling, accounting, and settlement.

Acting as a trusted advisor to Trading, Contracts, Credit, Risk, Scheduling, Accounting, and IT teams, the successful candidate will lead cross-functional discussions, translate business requirements into scalable Endur solutions, and drive meaningful process improvements across the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of commodity trading operations, hands-on Endur experience, and the ability to navigate complex business challenges while influencing solution design and delivery.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

ย  ย Lead the design and front-end configuration of new deal types in Endur to support evolving trading strategies and product offerings.ย 
ย  ย Partner with Trading, Contracts, Credit, Risk, Scheduling, Accounting, and IT teams to define future-state business processes and solution designs.
ย  ย Translate business requirements into Endur configuration and functional design specifications, including instrument setup, TPM workflows, scheduling, settlements, and operational controls.
ย  ย Provide day-to-day support for business users, resolving issues and responding to change requests.
ย  ย Assist with end user training for new features and enhancements.
ย  ย Evaluate business challenges, identify solution alternatives, and provide recommendations that balance business value, risk, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
ย  ย Lead requirements workshops, design discussions, and stakeholder alignment sessions across business and technical teams.
ย  ย Assess downstream impacts across Front, Middle, and Back Office processes to ensure solutions support the entire trade lifecycle.
ย  ย Develop business cases and support strategic initiatives by defining scope, benefits, risks, assumptions, and implementation considerations.
ย  ย Lead Functional Unit Testing (FUT) activities and ensure solutions are ready for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Coordinate business testing, validate results, and drive issue resolution through to completion.
ย  ย Serve as a subject matter expert for Endur, providing guidance on complex business and system challenges while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
ย  ย Maintain high-quality documentation, including process maps, configuration guides, business requirements, and operational procedures.
ย  ย Coordinate with IT teams and external vendors to deliver complex enhancements, integrations, and strategic initiatives

Education, Skills and Experience

ย  ย 5+ years of experience in Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM), including significant hands-on experience with Endur.
ย  ย Proven ability to model and configure trades in Endur, including familiarity with deal templates, TPM workflows, and settlements.
ย  ย Demonstrated experience configuring and supporting Endur to model physical and financial commodity transactions.
ย  ย Strong understanding of the complete commodity trade lifecycle, including deal capture, risk management, scheduling, accounting, and settlement processes.
ย  ย Proven ability to lead cross-functional discussions and translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
ย  ย Experience working directly with Front, Middle, and Back Office stakeholders within a commodity trading environment.
ย  ย Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
ย  ย Experience supporting testing, implementation, and change management activities.
ย  ย Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and build strong relationships across the organization.
ย  ย Knowledge of .NET scripting or OpenJVS is an asset.

Hours

Monday - Friday, 40 hours per weekย
