Job description

Job Summary

**This is a temporary position that will work January through April. Qualified candidates will be contacted immediately.**

We are seeking Tax Interns for our Fargo and Grand Forks offices for the 2027 tax season. This paid internship runs January through April 2027, with flexible hours designed to fit your class schedule. Work location and schedule will be determined based on business needs and proximity to an AgCountry office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide quality, articulate tax preparation support to Tax Officers across the association. 
  • Key and reconcile small to moderately complex income tax returns for farming operations in a timely and technically accurate manner.
  • Examine accounts and records to assist in computation of taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations. 
  • Team with Tax Officers to efficiently complete workload.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge in the areas of tax and accounting. 
  • Work with the Tax Officers and the AgCountry Education Department to expand knowledge and skills in the areas of tax accounting, technology, and the agricultural industry.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Sound interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency in computer applications.
  • Sound analytical skills.
Education Requirements
  • Some post-secondary education in accounting or business related field. 

Years of Experience
  • Strong desire to gain further understanding of the ag finance, lending and credit business.
