Software Connect helps businesses find the right software. We publish independent reviews, comparisons, and buyer's guides across ERP, inventory, project management, and dozens of other business software categories, on softwareconnect.com and our YouTube channel. We're a small team, so your work ships fast and its impact is visible.

We're hiring a writer to research business software and turn that research into reviews people actually use.

What you'll do:

  • Research and evaluate business software (ERPs, inventory systems, project management tools, and more) using vendor demos, documentation, user reviews, and hands-on trials when available
  • Write reviews, comparisons, roundups, and buyer's guides for our website
  • Script YouTube videos reviewing and comparing software
  • Keep our product directory current: new platforms, updated pricing, user reviews
  • Learn and apply SEO fundamentals. No SEO experience required; we'll teach you keyword research, search intent, and what makes content rank

What we're looking for:

  • Strong writer. Clear, direct, engaging. You can make ERP software interesting.
  • Analytical. You can size up a platform from research and explain the tradeoffs for different types of businesses.
  • Curious.** Genuinely interested in technology and how businesses run.
  • Fluent with AI. We've built AI heavily into our research and drafting workflows (Claude plus custom internal tooling), and you'll use it daily. We want editorial judgment and taste, not autocomplete.
  • Collaborative. Small team, lots of overlap, no silos.

No specific degree or years-of-experience requirement. Show us you can think and write.
How to apply
Send a resume and 2-3 writing samples (links preferred). In your application, tell us in a few sentences about a piece of software you've used, what it got right, and what it got wrong. Applications without samples won't be considered.
