We're seeking Advanced Practice Providers (NP/PA) to join our Cardiology team in Sheboygan, Wisconsin as we continue to expand and strengthen care across both hospital and clinic settings.
This is an opportunity to join a growing and evolving program with a true inpatient and outpatient cardiology role within a broad general cardiology practice, including interventional cardiology, a dedicated heart failure clinic, and a growing electrophysiology service, all within a team-based care environment.
Current Focus
We are actively working to:
  • Strengthen inpatient coverage
  • Rebuild and expand outpatient access (general cardiology and heart failure)
  • Enhance APP onboarding, training, and long-term development
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive team environment
About the role:
This position includes:
  • Inpatient cardiology care (primary focus initially), including stress testing
  • Outpatient clinic support as the team expands
  • Scheduled Monday through Friday, with weekend hospital coverage (approximately 1 in 5 weekends) added once fully trained
You will have the opportunity to:
  • Manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions
  • Work closely with physician and APP colleagues in a team-based model
  • Contribute to care model development and workflow design
Cardiology experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated candidates with strong acute care or internal medicine backgrounds, including those looking to build a career in cardiology within a structured and supportive environment.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Physician Assistant license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices.
  • Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices, and
  • Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or
  • Nurse Practitioner (AANP) certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration, and
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). May obtain within 6 months based on department discretion.
Degrees
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
Required Functional Experience
  • Would prefer APP experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Demonstrated high level of clinical proficiency, and excellent decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of a health care team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with and establish/build relationships with others.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the workday.
  • Must have functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing.
  • Must be able to:
  • lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
  • lift up to 20 lbs over the head.
  • carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to:
  • push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
  • perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present.
  • Will be exposed to the following hazards: mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation as well as blood and body fluids; therefore, protective clothing and equipment (i.e., goggles, lead apron, gloves, gowns, etc.) must be worn as necessary.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
