Job DescriptionPatrick & Henry Community College is a comprehensive two-year institution committed to student success, lifelong learning, and enrichment of the quality of life in the region it serves. Serving Martinsville, Henry County, Patrick County, and the southern portion of Franklin County, P&HCC is a comprehensive open-door institution, accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the associate degree. Patrick & Henry offers 29 associate degree programs, 12 certificate programs and 38 career studies certificate programs. The college also delivers a variety of nontraditional programs such as customized workforce development training, industry-recognized certifications, developmental and transitional programs, and courses for personal enrichment.

Purpose of Position:
The AI and Institutional Analytics Specialist supports the college's analytics and institutional effectiveness efforts by developing dashboards, improving access to data, supporting reporting processes, and advancing the use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. The position serves as a technical resource for data analysis, workflow innovation, and responsible AI adoption to improve operational efficiency and student success outcomes.
Special AssignmentsMay be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications - Experience with data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence tools.
- Experience with tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, or equivalent.
- Data analytics, visualization, and reporting (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, etc.)
- Understanding of AI concepts, applications, and ethical considerations.
- Knowledge of institutional research, data governance, and data quality practices.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Strong critical thinking and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong written, verbal, and data storytelling skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with leadership.
