Underground Salt Haulage & Plant Support Operator

Picture this: the face is producing, conveyors are humming, and your haul truck is the link that keeps salt flowing from the headings to processing. You take pride in safe, steady haulage—and when the line slows, you roll up your sleeves to help with basic maintenance so production doesn’t miss a beat.

Your mission

Transport salt and materials across the underground mine, uphold strict safety practices, and support essential equipment with light maintenance so the operation stays productive and compliant.

Core responsibilities
  • Operate underground haul trucks to move salt and materials between active headings, stockpiles, and processing points.
  • Run additional mobile equipment when assigned to meet production needs.
  • Assist with basic maintenance on conveyors, crushers, and screening equipment; support the maintenance team as needed.
  • Comply with MSHA regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Keep accurate production and safety records throughout the shift.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • Proven heavy equipment operating experience.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist maintenance tasks.
  • Strong commitment to safety and situational awareness underground.
  • Comfort working in an underground mining environment.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting 50+ lbs.
