Role Summary

The Account Manager is a true farmer, with extreme comfortability building customer rapport and taking an educational approach to the sales process. You’re interested in building technical expertise in the electrical, energy, and EV sphere. You’re a great communicator and educator, and can get your point across in a clear and concise manner. You like working in a team environment, but can effectively work independently. You have a history of meeting and exceeding sales goals. The role will report to the Director of Sales. This role is a remote position and the ideal candidate will preferably be located in the Greater Denver Area with the ability to travel to project sites and meet with customers in a prompt, professional manner.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


  • Identify and close inbound sales opportunities for major accounts in accordance with the Company’s overall strategic plans and financial objectives
  • Respond to RFP’s, create presentations and proposals, answer questions, overcome objections, and secure commitments for new business
  • Maintain a sales pipeline sufficient to support attainment of sales objectives
  • Meet with customers and attend qualified site walks, to understand customer interests and provide EV charging proposals  
  • Take ownership of your pipeline, revenue forecast, and track all activities and deal updates in the CRM
  • Collaborate across internal teams at COIL, offer constructive feedback, and work together to strive for overall strategic goals
  • Collaborate closely with COIL Operations to streamline the customer handoff, providing accurate project details operational efficiency
  • Develop and maintain relationships with channel partners and strategic accounts
  • Assist with or manage revenue forecasting on a regular basis and review sales results to ensure that established targets are being met
  • Nurture the relationship with customers at multiple levels to ensure that COIL remains the installer of choice for renewable energy solutions
  • Implement next steps for each client and adhere to set timelines based on client needs
  • Provide input and customer feedback regarding marketing and product positioning 
  • Act as an external evangelist for the COIL brand
  • Attend trade shows and customers events to promote the COIL brand

What You Need for this Position 

  • 3+ years quota carrying sales experience; 2+ years of experience with 6-12 month sales cycles
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to approximately 35% of the time for client meetings, regional site visits, and industry events
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Previous experience in the Construction, Solar, Electrical, or Renewables industries - preferred but not mandatory
  • Track record of over-achieving quota in past positions and receiving rave client reviews
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand the technical workings of multiple product lines and convey the product benefits to potential customers through a consultative and easy-to-grasp approach
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong knowledge of CRM and customer engagement tools to drive productivity


Compensation

This role offers a total on‑target earnings (OTE) range of $90,000–$110,000 per year, based on experience and performance in the role.


In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) participation, discretionary time off, and other employee perks. More detail on benefits and commission plan structure will be provided during the interview process, but the range above reflects our most reasonable, good‑faith expectations for total compensation for this role.
