CM Energy Concepts, LLC is a Houston-based electrical and energy services company with national projects across lighting, solar, EV charging, HVAC, fire alarm, and security systems. Were expanding in California and seeking a licensed electrician to be our on-site lead and right hand to our Director of Electrical Services.
The Certified Electrician Solar Installation Specialist will oversee commercial solar and electrical system installations in California. This individual will serve as our companys eyes and hands on the ground supervising crews, maintaining quality, and ensuring NEC and state compliance.
Responsibilities

  • Install, supervise, and commission commercial solar and electrical systems.
  • Manage field crews, subcontractors, and site inspections.
  • Serve as the local liaison with the Texas and Maine - based operations team.
  • Maintain compliance with NEC, Cal/OSHA, and safety standards.
  • Conduct final system testing and QA prior to turnover.
Requirements

  • Valid California Electrical Certification (Journeyman).
  • 5+ years of commercial electrical experience, including solar PV installations.
  • Strong understanding of wiring, conduit, terminations, and system testing.
  • Team leadership and communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Valid drivers license and clean record.
Preferred / Bonus Certifications

  • Licenses in additional states (e.g., TX, AZ, NV, NM, FL, GA, NC) preferred.
  • NABCEP PV Installation Professional or PV Technician certification.
  • NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, or other safety and compliance certifications.
  • Experience with battery storage, microgrid, or hybrid systems.
  • Familiarity with California utility interconnection, permitting, and inspection processes.
  • Leadership training or experience as a foreman or site lead.
  • C-ESA or CEC Solar & Storage training.
