Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Sr. Mechanical Engineer with experience supporting Power Generation Projects in our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. The role involves managing the mechanical engineering and design effort on major power projects from conception to construction and final project closeout.

Responsibilities
  • Functioning as the mechanical discipline lead on a project.
  • Act as the mechanical engineer of record for assigned projects, using your professional engineering license to sign and seal mechanical drawings developed under your supervision.
  • Develop mechanical calculations, reports, studies, specifications, and design drawings such as equipment arrangement, PFD, AFD, P&IDs, and isometric drawings for water, steam, air, gas, and oil systems.
  • Coordinate an interdisciplinary team of engineers and designers to complete project tasks on schedule and on budget.
  • Review relevant codes, design documents, specifications, and construction documents to support project development.
  • Develop material and workโ€‘hour estimates as well as engineering and design schedules.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the design of mechanical systems for conventional generation (fossilโ€‘fueled) power plants.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering leadership position.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from a fourโ€‘year accredited college or university.
  • Experience with industryโ€‘standard engineering software such as AFT Fathom and AFT Arrow.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with multiโ€‘discipline engineers and designers.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in the U.S.
  • MS in Mechanical Engineering is an asset.
  • Experience in HVAC and Fire Protection design is an asset.
  • Experience with Autodesk Plant3D is an asset.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $100,000 โ€“ $150,000. Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills, and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
