As a Security Officer Alarm Monitoring in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch professional in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor incoming information, and support timely responses to incidents and service needs. You will maintain clear records, communicate professionally with team members and visitors, and help create a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour

Job Schedule
  • Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Sat 06:00 PM - 06:30 AM
  • Sun 06:00 PM - 06:30 AM
What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Monitor communications systems, receive calls and alarms, document incidents, and dispatch appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating notifications to designated contacts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift activity records while communicating clearly with onsite personnel and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
