Registered Nurse - Day Shift in Rural Area
Location
This position is located 2 hours from Boston, MA.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Days, 8 hours shift from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Must be willing to float to units where experienced.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will observe each resident on a continuing basis, alert to changes in mental and physical well-being. Responsibilities include notifying the Supervisor of pertinent observations, administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician, and supervising Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) in accordance with licensing requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' health status.
  • Administer physician's orders and manage medication documentation.
  • Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure quality care and adherence to protocols.
  • Accompany physicians during rounds, addressing residents' medical needs.
  • Perform wound care and monitor oxygen levels as per facility guidelines.
  • Complete necessary documentation for admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Evaluate and assist nursing staff according to facility policies.
  • Communicate with families regarding resident care and concerns.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • 3+ years of current nursing experience within the last 6 months.
  • MUST be IV certified or willing to obtain certification during onboarding.
  • COVID Vaccination required (no declinations/exemptions accepted).
  • Active RN license in New Hampshire.
  • Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in rural or small facility is highly preferred.
