Job description

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

The Fin Operator is responsible for the fabrication, forming, inspection, and handling of fin stock used in the manufacture of aerospace heat exchangers and related thermal management products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate fin-forming machinery and related production equipment.
  • Produce fin stock and finned components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments and visual inspection techniques.
  • Verify dimensions, fin spacing, material condition, and workmanship requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and manufacturing travelers.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material defects, and nonconforming product.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, scales, and gauges.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred.
  • Experience operating production, forming, stamping, roll-forming, or metal fabrication equipment preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience manufacturing aerospace heat exchangers or thermal management products.
  • Familiarity with metal forming operations and tooling adjustments.Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, or specialty aerospace materials.
