Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg Oncology
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Type: Full-Time/ Permanent
Shift & Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts | Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) or Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends

Base Compensation: Hourly rate scaled precisely to your years of experience:

  • 1 YOE: $30.89 / hour
  • 5 YOE: $35.02 / hour
  • 10 YOE: $39.21 / hour
  • 15+ YOE: $43.25 / hourShift Differentials: Nights: +$3.00/hr | Weekends: +$2.00/hr (Stackable) Sign-On & Relocation Bonuses: Evaluated on a case-by-case basis

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg Oncology for an exciting Local job in Tallahassee, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Collect comprehensive clinical assessment data pertinent to oncology patients and their immediate healthcare needs.
  • Analyze assessment findings and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
  • Implement and evaluate nursing interventions to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Deliver specialized nursing care to adult oncology and medical-surgical patients.
  • Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and individualized treatment preferences.
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care.
  • Ensure effective utilization of clinical supplies, equipment, and departmental resources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Promote a patient-centered environment focused on quality outcomes and compassionate care.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med-Surg RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire; required within 6 months.
  • Previous Oncology nursing experience.
  • Strong clinical assessment, patient education, and care coordination skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced acute care environments.

Unit Details

  • Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1:5 to 1:6.
