Job Title: Insurance Verification Representative

Pay: $20 - $22 / hour, with potential increase to $24/hour upon permanent hire
Work Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Weekly schedule determined based on business needs and availability
- Extended shift on Mondays until approximately 6:30 PM
- One remote Saturday per month (8:00 AM-12:00 PM)
- Up to 2 remote workdays per week available after training

Job Description:
We are hiring two Insurance Verification Representatives to support healthcare insurance operations. This role is responsible for validating insurance information, obtaining authorizations, researching claim denials, and collaborating with clinics to secure accurate patient information. Successful candidates will have prior experience in a hospital environment and a strong understanding of the insurance verification process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient insurance eligibility and benefits coverage
- Prepare and submit authorization requests for medical services
- Investigate and resolve insurance denials and coverage issues
- Coordinate provider assignments and maintain accurate records
- Contact physician offices and clinics to obtain missing documentation
- Ensure insurance information is updated and accurately documented
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of hospital insurance verification and/or prior authorization experience *required*
- Experience handling insurance denials and appeals processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply but are not required
- EMR experience is helpful but not required
