You’ll install, commission, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair custom industrial test equipment across electrical, controls, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems—while also building SOPs, digitizing records, updating manuals, and laying the foundation for a scalable service organization. This role blends customer-facing leadership with operational rigor and offers a path to supervisory responsibility as the team grows. Travel ~70% domestic with occasional international.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve issues across electrical, controls, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Provide hands‑on training to customer personnel on operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
  • Serve as primary customer point of contact, building strong, long‑term relationships
  • Develop SOPs and convert paper‑based service records into digital formats
  • Update and maintain technical documentation and manuals
  • Identify and communicate upsell opportunities (service agreements, calibration plans, PM programs)
  • Relay field insights and customer feedback to internal teams for product/service improvements
  • Assist with in‑house assembly and equipment testing during non‑travel periods
  • Model MissionHires values of Innovation, Passion, Impact, and Growth in all interactions
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands‑on field service or industrial maintenance experience with capital or electro‑mechanical equipment
  • Strong electronics and controls background; comfortable performing electrical work
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools and meters confidently
  • BS, AAS, or technical certifications in electronics, engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
  • Polished, professional communication with a consultative, customer‑first approach
  • Comfortable identifying and discussing service opportunities directly with clients
  • Highly organized and self‑directed; able to manage a full schedule with minimal oversight
  • Willingness to travel approximately 70% domestically, with occasional international trips
  • Valid driver’s license and passport, or ability to obtain both
Benefits
  • BCBS
  • 401K match
  • All travel expenses covered, including flights, hotels, meals, and mileage
  • Year‑end bonus tied to company performance
