Data Analyst w/ AI
Job Type: Contract (through year-end)
Location: Denver, CO
Work Setting: On-site (5 days/week)
Position Summary
Unison Systems is looking for a skilled Data Analyst w/ AI for our client located in Greenwood Village, CO. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career analyst with a strong foundation in SQL and Python who is curious about how AI can be applied in analytics. You'll work closely with senior analysts to gather requirements, build reports and dashboards, automate recurring tasks, and incorporate AI tools into your day-to-day work. The role places you in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment where you can learn from an experienced data team while growing your technical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build basic reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses to support business teams such as Sales, Retention, and Operations.
  • Partner with senior analysts and managers to clarify requests and deliver actionable insights.
  • Use SQL to extract data and Python to clean, organize, and prepare datasets for analysis.
  • Leverage AI tools to support tasks such as writing queries, summarizing findings, and generating documentation.
  • Assist in converting manual, repetitive processes into simple automated workflows using SQL or Python.
  • Create clear, easy-to-understand charts and dashboards that communicate key insights.
  • Actively develop your technical and business skills through hands-on experience and mentorship.

Required Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of experience in a data analyst, analytics, or related role (internships, academic projects, or bootcamps welcome).
  • Foundational SQL skills, including basic joins, filtering, and aggregations.
  • Working knowledge of Python (pandas, basic scripting, or data manipulation).
  • Exposure to AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.) and interest in using them to improve productivity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to present findings to small groups.
  • Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and take feedback.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and some ambiguity.
  • Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field - or equivalent hands-on experience.
