Description
Responsible for teaching course content and preparing and keeping appropriate records and syllabi for all assigned courses. The instructor will provide effective instruction in mandated and non-mandated law enforcement and correctional classes, instructing police officers, deputy sheriffs, detention officers, telecommunicators, and certified correctional staff.
Typical Qualifications
Requires a combination of education and law enforcement and/or correctional experience; certification as a general/specialized instructor with North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and/or North Carolina Sheriff's Education and Training Standards Commission. Must maintain Department of Correction security clearance.
