Job description

Dr. Wilkinson's Backyard Resort & Mineral Springs located in Calistoga is in search of both Full-Time and Part-Time Massage Therapists! Our ideal candidate will provide professional, therapeutic and rejuvenating massage therapies and body treatments to spa guest.

This is an on-site, non-exempt position that reports to the Spa Director. The pay range for this position is $16.99 per hour including Commission + Tips. Weekend availability is required.

    What you Will Be Doing
    • To perform all massage and body work services including table and chair massage, body treatments, bath treatments, foot treatments following the established protocols, and allotted treatment times.
    • To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
    • Provide the highest level of personalized guest service while maintaining an enthusiastic and helpful attitude.
    • To conserve and monitor supplies and assets of the spa.
    • Complete shift checklists on a daily basis, replenishing supplies, cleaning equipment and re-stocking laundry.
    • To attend all scheduled treatment and product knowledge training sessions.
    • To directly set and maintain high standards of service and cleanliness.
    • To assist in the training of other team members as directed.
    • Assist with special projects, events and promotions as needed.
    • To promote spa services and products throughout the property.
    • To use available time to help with spa operations as requested.
    • To up-sell treatments to guests as appropriate.
    • To prescribe in written format home care products and treatment as appropriate.
    • To represent the spa and hotel in a positive and professional manner as requested.
    • To continually market the spa internally and externally by attending special events when requested and building relationships. 
    • To comply with all company policies and procedures.
    • To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
    • To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
    • Follow all company safety standards, including proper equipment handling to avoid injury to yourself and others.
    • To attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
    • To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
