Medical Doctors Only Apply. A Psychiatry Physician General Psychiatrist practice is seeking a qualified physician for Lancaster, PA. This and other physician jobs brought to you by ExactMD. Medical Center in Lancaster, PA is currently seeking a BC/BE Adult/Geriatric Psychiatrist for an employed position. Hospital provides compassionate, short term, inpatient behavior and medication stabilization for up to 39 adults, age 18 and older. In fact, they are the only facility in Lancaster County to have a separate 10 bed wing specifically for older adults. Their Behavioral Health Services Team includes psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, Master's level therapists, counselors, a recreation therapist and even a pet therapy dog named Riley! The team works together to tailor treatments that help patients effectively manage their behavioral challenges and return to a normal level of functioning, without depending on structured inpatient care. Key Components of the Program Include: An interdisciplinary assessment (e.g. psychiatric consultation, individualized treatment and discharge planning; assistance with reintegration into community, job and family life; and family support.) Group, family, and individual therapies, as needed. The average length of stay is about six days for most adults and about 12 days for most older adults 65+ . Our 39-bed unit is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and provides care 24/7.
