Position Summary

Tetra Tech Digital Systems is seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to support offshore Gulf of America operations and automation projects. This role will lead the design, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of industrial control systems that support critical offshore production and processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, program, and commission PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and support automation, instrumentation, communications, and process control systems.
  • Develop control narratives, cause-and-effect matrices, and system documentation.
  • Support FAT, SAT, startup, commissioning, and operational reliability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and IT teams to deliver successful projects.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and cybersecurity.
     
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 8+ years of industrial automation experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and Studio 5000.
  • 5+ years of experience with Wonderware/AVEVA HMI systems.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation, SCADA systems, industrial networking, and process control systems.
  • Offshore or upstream Oil & Gas automation experience strongly preferred.
