About this PositionThe Data Analyst 2 is responsible for completing all data requests routed to the Securities department. Examples include regulatory data request, analyzing large data sets for internal decisioning, and assisting in project work that deals with large data sets. This position is very SQL heavy. This position will adopt and utilize appropriate analytical approaches and methodology in addressing key issues within the business. Candidate must live in Metro Atlanta Area.
Hybrid Role: 2-3 Days in Duluth Office
Salary Range: $65K - $75KResponsibilities & Qualifications

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creates and/or executes regulatory data request for large data sets via custom SQL statements. Requesting agencies include FINRA, SEC, State Investment commission, Internal or External Audit, etc.
  • Creates and/or executes custom SQL statements to isolate data set relevant to the received request. Analyzes this data to illustrate conclusions according to the request via visualization and analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar.
  • Establish relationships and partner with other functions to deliver client value
  • Support all phases of data collection and assessment for reporting and model delivery
  • Query and analyze data using tools such as Excel, SQL, MS Access and others as required
  • 3-5 years of experience in analytics-focused roles with experience in building and managing analytics or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Analysis, Data Science, or related field preferred
  • Excellent diagnostic skills to analyze and identify discrepancies within data sets and identify solutions
  • Resilient work ethic with the capability to adapt to the situation
  • Self-motivated and willing to take ownership
  • Capable of working independently on multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle ambiguity while striving for clarity
  • Effective communication across diverse audiences
  • Expertise in quantitative data analysis methods and data mining
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate trends and analysis into actionable recommendations
  • The ability to work under pressure, navigate through ambiguity, draw linkages and balance multiple priorities
  • Flexibility to pivot strategy and process according to business needs
  • Strong executive presence and collaborative/interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques, R and/or Python, and Power Bi is a plus
  • Experience in the Securities industry knowledge is a plus
