Vida Charter School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to

engage and inspire students in K-6th grades. The ideal candidate will foster a love for technology, logic, and problem-solving while integrating a bilingual and multicultural approach to instruction.

Essential Responsibilities

Guide instruction in English or Spanish

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s bilingual, dual-language learning approach.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes pride in bilingualism and academic excellence. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and encourage intellectual growth.

Topics include:

  • Basic computer skills, including navigating Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Classroom
  • Internet functionality and digital communication
  • Introductory web design using HTML
  • Programming basics with Scratch (drag-and-drop coding)
  • Typing skills and keyboarding proficiency
  • Digital literacy, including navigating technology safely and critically evaluating online information (e.g., recognizing misinformation, understanding AI, and the impact of social media)
