As our new Machinist II - 2nd Shift, you will be performing complete setup, programming, editing, and operation of CNC and manual machines to manufacture centrifugal pump components at our Peerless Pump facility in Indianapolis. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences
• Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials; calculate and set speed, feed, depth of cut, and coolant flow parameters
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, and adjust offsets, tooling, and controls to maintain quality
• Verify finished work pieces against prints and specifications; perform secondary operations including deburring, drilling, and tapping
• Train and mentor fellow machinists, maintain equipment through preventative maintenance, and uphold 5S, safety, and quality standards

It is a plus if you also:
• 2-4 years of manual machining experience (mills, drills, grinders) and 1-3 years of CNC programming/setup experience with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Allen-Bradley controls
• Advanced knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and experience in a job shop machining environment
• Experience with material handling equipment (forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists) and familiarity with Lean/manufacturing principles
Why you will love working here
• A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
• Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
• Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
