Position Description
Haul Truck Driver responsibilities and abilities include but are not limited to the list below. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Loads truck by hand or by operating mechanical loader.
  • Pulls levers or turns crank to tilt body and dump contents.
  • Perform inspections of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights, turn signals and brakes
  • Ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements, size up load
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures and legislation, a t all times observes and operates within applicable traffic laws
  • Communicate with other Haul Truck Drivers and equipment operators using communication devices such as a two-ways radio or onboard computers
  • Moves hand and foot controls to jerk truck forward and backward to loosen and dump material adhering to body.

Position Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Have a minimum of 1-2 years of haul truck driving experience or a minimum of 2 years of training with a minimum of 6 months of equivalent work experience.
  • Must have 1+ year in maintain log books
  • Willing to do labor work
  • Ability to work safely under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment.
