Job Opportunity: Custom Applicator - Southern FS, Inc.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Custom Applicator to join our team. This role involves professional application of agricultural products, equipment maintenance, and assisting with various location duties to ensure outstanding service to our customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Agronomy Custom Application:
    • Accurately apply chemicals, liquid fertilizers, dry fertilizers, and anhydrous ammonia.
    • Maintain application equipment in excellent condition and adhere to high standards.
    • Minimize application complaints and provide courteous customer service.
  • Delivery of Energy Products:
    • Deliver LP gas, liquid fuels, and oil products.
    • Perform service tasks such as LP tank setups and fuel pump maintenance.
  • Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
    • Keep facilities and equipment clean, safe, and in optimal working condition.
    • Prepare equipment for seasonal demands.
  • Customer and Location Support:
    • Assist with crop, energy, structures, and grain operations.
    • Support inventory management, product delivery, and sales efforts.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED; related experience preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and basic mathematical abilities.
    • Problem-solving skills with attention to safety and efficiency.
  • Certifications:
    • Class A CDL with endorsements (ATX).
    • Pesticide license as required by management.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Exposure to various environmental conditions, including extreme weather and mechanical equipment.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
