Job description

About the Role
MCB Cabinets is seeking a high-performing, in-home sales professional to lead kitchen cabinetry consultations and close high-ticket remodeling projects.
This is not a passive showroom role.
We are looking for someone who can:
  • Lead clients confidently through $6,000-$40,000 decisions
  • Align budget early and protect gross margin
  • Guide customers through kitchen layout and cabinet selection conversations
  • Take ownership of opportunities from first appointment through close
  • Generate new business in addition to handling company-provided leads
Design support and training are available. Closing ability is required.
What You’ll Do
  • Conduct in-home kitchen consultations and manage the full sales process
  • Qualify clients, establish realistic budgets, and guide scope decisions
  • Walk customers through cabinet styles, layouts, and upgrade options
  • Collaborate with design support to finalize technical drawings and proposals
  • Present pricing and close contracts
  • Maintain strong follow-up discipline
  • Build relationships with contractors, builders, and referral partners
  • Protect gross margin targets on all projects
Ideal Background
We are seeking someone who is:
  • Experienced in high-ticket, in-home sales (windows, roofing, remodeling, HVAC, cabinetry, etc.)
  • Comfortable earning a significant portion of income through commission
  • Confident leading financial conversations and asking for the sale
  • Organized, self-directed, and accountable
Design or cabinetry experience is a plus, but not required. You must, however, be comfortable guiding customers through design conversations and helping them make confident kitchen decisions.
Training on our cabinet lines, layout standards, and systems will be provided.
Compensation Structure
  • Competitive base salary
  • GP-based commission structure
  • Tiered performance incentives
  • Profit-share eligibility
  • Strong earning potential for disciplined, margin-focused performers
This structure rewards responsible selling and protects profitability.
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Full-time, in-person role (Burnsville showroom)
  • Monday–Friday schedule with occasional Saturdays
  • Some evenings/weekends for client consultations
  • Office currently undergoing renovation — onboarding will include a mix of in-field and structured training
Who This Role Is Not For
  • Individuals seeking a design-only position
  • Candidates uncomfortable with commission-based compensation
  • Passive order-takers
Who Thrives Here
  • Confident, revenue-driven professionals
  • Strong communicators who can control a room
  • Individuals who want real upside tied to performance
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Benefits:
  • Employee discount
  • 401(k)
  • Flexible schedule
  • Paid time off
Work Location: In person
