Our responsibilities are to facilitate and communicate information, programs, and change; serve as an innovative role model; promote increased efficiency; and coordinate efforts.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Program Administrator, the Child Care Center Teacher/Director plans and implements curriculum and age-appropriate activities for the population served in the center. The Child Care Center Teacher/Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the child care center and may be required to supervise other childcare center teachers, aides, and/or volunteers.
Location: Little Explorers State Preschool, Bishop CA.

Job Description / Essential Elements:
PERSONNEL:__Certificated
JOB DESCRIPTION:__CHILD CARE CENTER TEACHER/DIRECTOR
Under the direction of the Program Administrator, the Child Care Center Teacher/Director plans and implements curriculum and age-appropriate activities for the population served in the center. The Child Care Center Teacher/Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the child care center and may be required to supervisor other child care center teachers, aides, and/or volunteers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
• General knowledge of child development and licensing requirements.
• Current educational and discipline trends.
Ability to:
• Pass required physical.
• Obtain appropriate Child Development Permit.
• Communicate effectively in written and/or oral form with parents, students, and other staff members.
• Adjust program activities to meet the changing developmental needs of each child.
• Implement discipline procedures when necessary.
• Hold informal parent conferences as needed.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Possession of a valid Child Development Supervisor Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
• Specific knowledge of child development as it relates to the population served.
• Ability to creatively plan activities and work collectively as a team member.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Experience as an aide or a teacher in a center-based program.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
• 12 units of early childhood or child development.
• 3 to 6 units of early childhood administration, preferred.
• Any other licensing required educational components.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR CREDENTIALS:
• Appropriate Child Development Permit.
• Valid Class C California Driver's License.
• Fingerprint clearance.
EVALUATOR:
• Superintendent or designee.
