Job description

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist

The MRI Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, providing support for other imaging technologists as needed to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The Technologist must demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform various imaging procedures and examinations to assist in patient throughput.
  • Troubleshoot basic maintenance and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
  • Participate in quality assurance (QA) initiatives and ongoing education relevant to MR imaging.
  • Adapt assessments and care methods to meet the unique needs of each patient served.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care dictated by regulatory entities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and ensure completed exams are archived accurately in PACS.
  • Demonstrate adherence to organizational core values and competencies in all interactions and procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an equivalent program.
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT is required.
  • State licensure required if applicable.
  • BLS certification required (AHA only).
Schedule

This is a full-time position with an evening shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 PM to 11 PM.
