Kerberos International, Inc. is an industry leading security company providing services to the U.S. Government and Corporate America. Kerberos is currently looking for Full-Time and Part- Time Armed Security Officers for the Las Vegas Nevada Area.
Job Description
As a FPS contract employee it will be your responsibility to provide protection to the facility staff by securing the grounds, checking visitors in and out of the facility, and keeping the supervisor up to date on all activities. In addition, the Security Officer will promote good public and staff relations, be willing to work as part of a team, and take directions well. Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and swing shifts.
Required Experience: Applicant must meet at least one of the following requirements.
  • 2 years of armed security experience or 1 year of full law enforcement experience in a full duty status, verifiable
  • 2 years of U.S Armed Forces, National Guard or Reserve service, active, retired, or honorable discharged, verifiable

Applicant must also:
  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Have either a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Be able to pass a physical and drug screen
  • Be able to pass a federal background check
  • Fluently speak, read, comprehend English and be able to compose written reports in English
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
  • Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
  • Climb at a minimum four (4) flights of stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
  • Be able to remain on post for 4 consecutive hours
  • Be able to stay alert for up to 12 hours
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.
