Surgical Oncology opening in Des Moines, IA - Visa EligibleLocated in Des Moines, IA - Omaha 135m; Minneapolis 245m; Chicago 330mFull-time; PermanentEmployedH1B Eligible Overview: Opportunity to join an established Surgical Oncology program within a large statewide cancer service line Join an existing Surgical Oncologist and Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship-trained Surgical Oncology opportunity with focus on expanding tertiary cancer services across a 1.5 million population service area Broad surgical oncology case mix including solid tumor surgery, cytoreduction with or without HIPEC, major GI resections, thyroid/parathyroid surgery, Whipple procedures, and wide local excision with or without sentinel lymph node mapping Access to da Vinci Xi robotic platform with teaching consoles Dedicated block OR time available Clinic schedule includes 2 half clinic days Onsite imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services EPIC EMR Opportunity to serve as General Surgery Residency faculty Multidisciplinary tumor board collaboration guiding treatment decisions Strong integrated oncology support services and collaborative cancer care environment--- Comp/Benefits: Base salary of $470,000 $150,000 recruitment incentive Relocation assistance up to $15,000 Paid malpractice with tail coverage 403(b) retirement plan with match 457(b) savings plan CME allowance up to $6,000 annually Comprehensive benefits beginning day one--- Group/Facility Info: Large integrated statewide cancer program Accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, NAPRC, and NABC Level II Trauma Center Regional tertiary referral center serving 1.5 million patients Integrated multidisciplinary oncology program including Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, and specialized oncology nursing Advanced radiation oncology services including IMRT and IGRT Clinical trial and research opportunities available Extensive supportive oncology services including palliative care, nutrition, social work, mental health, acupuncture, chiropractic care, yoga, massage, and integrative therapies* Part of a large not-for-profit regional healthcare system with extensive statewide reach-- About the Area:Des Moines is consistently ranked among the top places to live in the United States due to its affordability, excellent schools, strong job market, and exceptional quality of life.
