Job Description This position will serve as the Nuclear Island Area Lead for the HVAC design scope on a new nuclear power plant facility. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. Performs complex to difficult engineering assignments, evaluates, selects, and applies advanced engineering techniques to a broad set of complex assignments.

Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts Develop and review specifications, including design criteria Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting Basic Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering US Citizen or Green Card holder with current or past clearance to work on nuclear projects 10 + years of work experinece with nuclear power plant design Experience executing engineering work under an ASME NQA-1 quality program Familiarity with nuclear industry standards and regulations, including the following: RG 1.52, RG 1.140, RG 1.143, NUREG-0800, ASME AG-1, RG 1.26, RG 1.29, RG 1.201, 10 CFR Part 50, and 10 CFR Part 52. Preferred Qualifications Familiar with HVAC load calculations and applied psychrometrics, capable of sizing and preparing ductwork and equipment layouts. Knowledge of chilled water and refrigerant piping design principles

Capable of selecting HVAC equipment such as air handling units, chillers, condensing units, cooling coils, heating coils, steam coils, pumps, electric heaters, fans, and cooling towers. Understands and knows how to follow and apply various codes, standards and handbooks including ASHRAE Fundamentals, ASHRAE systems and equipment, ASHRAE refrigeration, ASHRAE application, ICC (IBC, IMC, & IFC), SMACNA, and NFPA. Have experience working as a HVAC engineer involved with multi-million dollar building project team (engineers and designers) in different stages from front end engineering design, detailed design, bidding process, construction, commission and acceptance of the building completion.
