Job description


CALIBRE is an employee-owned mission-focused solutions and digital transformation company, is seeking a Financial Data Analyst, who will support all missions of the National Guard Bureau (NGB) Comptroller. The analyst will play an important role in developing and maintaining NGB financial dashboards. The analyst will apply subject matter expertise related to DoW financial policies, processes, and systems. The analyst will participate in data analysis, dashboard development, and formulation of advice. He or she will assist or lead in preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, and project deliverables. This is an onsite position with the opportunity for situation or rotational telework-this may be modified during service at the discretion of the client and Prime. There is no opportunity for remote work.
Tasks include
Participating in analysis primarily related to Army National Guard (ARNG), Air National Guard (ANG), and NGB budget execution matters. This includes tracking, reporting, and analysis of costs, obligations, disbursements, reprogramming results, and related historical and current trends.
โ€ข Developing complex integrated dashboards, providing timely information, developing periodic analytic products and reports, and contributing to recommendations for NGB leaders.
โ€ข Employing analytical skills to develop an empirical basis to support analysis and recommendations.
โ€ข Support developing and responding to formal staffing actions. Assist in developing, staffing, and finalizing NGB senior leader correspondence and providing input to execution-related products, processes, guidance, and policy.
โ€ข Collaborating with staff across the ARNG, ANG, and NGB to develop working relationships to maintain situational awareness on financial issues and to facilitate developing recommendations for leaders.

โ€ข Expert level proficiency in Power BI for financial dashboards integrating data from authoritative DoW sources. Proficiency in MS Excel as used for financial analysis.
โ€ข Proficiency with groupware applications (e.g., SharePoint, MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint., etc.). Proficiency with Maven very beneficial.
โ€ข Proficiency in the use of financial systems (e.g., GFEBS, Checkbook, DEAMS, FMSuite, AFM, CRIS, STANFINS, and ODS).
โ€ข Demonstrated proficiency in the analysis and manipulation of financial data.
โ€ข Must be able to travel.
Preferred Skills:
โ€ข Proficiency in tasking systems (e.g., Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) or Task Management Tool (TMT)
โ€ข Proficiency in the use of Advana, Power Query, and other database and data analysis applications

Required Experience
โ€ข Three to six years of experience conducting and presenting budget/financial data analysis, with an emphasis on development and maintenance of integrated dashboards and use of DoW financial systems.
โ€ข Three to six years of experience supporting comptroller functions within the senior defense organizations in the Pentagon (Services, Reserve Components, Joint Staff, NGB, OSW).
โ€ข Experience working with the National Guard a plus.
โ€ข Experience using artificial intelligence for data analysis also a plus.
Required Education:
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Preferred Education:
โ€ข Master's Degree from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Financial or accounting focus preferred.
โ€ข Commensurate Professional Military Education if former military.
