Event & Retail Field Marketing Manager- *** Must be local to Burr Ridge, IL
The Opportunity
This is not just a field marketing role - it is an opportunity to build and lead a program we believe will represent $30M of our business within the next 2-3 years. As the Event & Retail Field Marketing Manager, you will oversee and grow our field marketing operations across Chicago (home base), Madison, and St. Louis, leading a team of Brand Promoters and Field Leaders who are on the front lines of our business every single day. You will be a builder, a coach, and a driver of results - someone with a sales mentality who thrives on hitting goals and raising the bar for their team. For the right person, the growth potential here is substantial.
Compensation
Base Salary: $75,000
Total Earning Potential: $100,000-$120,000+ (base + bonus + commission)
Event & Retail Field Marketing Manager - Key Responsibilities
  • Research and secure 60+ events annually, including Home Shows, local community events, and Costco warehouse activations where homeowners are present
  • Complete applications for appropriate events, track spending, and monitor marketing costs to hit benchmark goals
  • Schedule, plan, and optimize all events - including set-up, staffing, and logistics - to maximize return on investment
  • Responsible for all activities related to interviewing, onboarding, and performance management of the field marketing team across Chicago, Madison, and St. Louis markets
  • Quarterly travel (at a minimum) is expected between markets
  • Be consistently present in the field - at home shows, field marketing events, and Costco warehouse locations - providing hands-on leadership and coaching
  • Drive appointment generation goals on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis with a metrics-driven, performance-focused approach
  • Create and implement a strategic plan to exceed lead generation goals and increase sales conversion rates from your team
  • Monitor and track all marketing costs; optimize scheduling, personnel, and event selection to achieve the highest possible ROI
  • Assess KPIs regularly and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve team and program performance
  • Provide detailed and accurate lead and appointment forecasts and reports
  • Ensure all Brand Promoters are consistently on-script, on-brand in dress and demeanor, and equipped with strong product knowledge
  • Review leads daily to ensure standards are met and lead reports are accurate
  • Deliver in-field coaching and structured classroom training covering methodology, objection handling, processes, and procedures
  • May need to travel to one or all of our locations during training and onboarding, as needed

Event & Retail Field Marketing Manager- Desired Qualifications
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and optimize 60+ events per year across multiple markets
  • Several years of experience in event and field marketing, with a track record of measurable results
  • Must be available for a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and regular in-field presence at events and retail partner locations
  • Exceptional training, coaching, and team development skills - the ability to take a good team and elevate it to the next level
  • 2-5 years of experience managing a field marketing team
  • Sales mentality with the ability to drive appointment and lead generation goals at every level - daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Strong budget management skills; ability to monitor and control marketing spend to hit performance benchmarks
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess KPIs and make proactive, data-driven decisions
  • Ability to self-manage time and resources across multiple markets and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
