What's in it for you:

As an Electrical Engineer you are responsible for unit electrical system designs for Trane Commercial HVAC products.Responsibilities include maintaining unit electrical schematics.Additional responsibilities include selection and qualification of electrical and electro-mechanical power components, electrical wiring, transformers, circuit breakers, contactors, overloads, variable frequency drives, solid state starters and wye-delta starters.This position will generate electrical schematics, update documentation based on design changes, and release unit designs to production.Further responsibilities also include supporting production engineering issues related to High voltage/low voltage cabinets, conduit, and wire harness'


What you will do:

  • Become familiar with Trane Commercial Chillers, Rooftops and Air Handler products
  • Provide guidance manufacturing engineering and production team members.
  • Administer appropriate agency and regulatory approval processes.
  • Develop and/or update Trane electrical purchased part engineering drawings and standards.
  • Achieve scheduled milestones for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate the activities of other engineers or technicians assigned to the project.
  • Provide engineering support to the Product Planning and Technical Support Team.
  • Identify electrical quality and productivity improvement opportunities.
  • Execute a wide variety of electrical or quality and productivity improvement projects.
  • Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers.


What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics Degrees
  • 3+ years relevant electrical engineering experience
  • Basic project management skills for small-scale projects and awareness of overall project status, risks, and obstacles to progress

$84,740.00 - $118,860.00
