Position Overview
GTI Energy is seeking a Material Handler Lead to oversee daily warehouse and material handling operations supporting manufacturing and production activities. This role is responsible for coordinating shipping, receiving, inventory movement, material staging, and warehouse workflow while providing day-to-day leadership and support to warehouse personnel.

Leadership & Team Support
• Provide day-to-day guidance, training, and support to material handling team members
• Serve as a subject matter expert for shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse processes
• Assist in assigning tasks and monitoring workflow to ensure timely completion
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Support onboarding and training of new warehouse employees
Operations & Execution
• Perform and oversee receiving, locating, transferring, and staging of materials accurately and efficiently
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials across trucks, racks, pallets, conveyors, and storage areas
• Verify counts, weights, labeling, and documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments
• Identify and document damaged materials, shortages, or discrepancies and escalate issues appropriately
• Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to meet operational deadlines and production schedules
Material Handling & Equipment Use
• Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Transport materials throughout the facility using appropriate tools and equipment
• Assist production teams and machine operators with movement and staging of materials
• Organize, stack, and maintain materials for efficient workflow and storage utilization
Quality, Safety & Compliance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse procedures
• Participate in quality improvement and process optimization initiatives
• Support audits and ensure compliance with operational and inventory standards
Administrative & Coordination
• Complete required reports, documentation, inventory transactions, and system updates accurately
• Communicate effectively with production, quality, purchasing, logistics, and management teams
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory tracking activities
• Perform additional warehouse and logistics duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or shipping and receiving
• Prior lead, coordinator, or informal leadership experience preferred
• Forklift certification required
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping practices, and material handling procedures
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial production environments
• Familiarity with international shipping requirements and shipping documentation
