Autocraft Group Inc. dba FastLane Emergency Vehicles has been a trusted name in public safety vehicle customization for over 25 years. We specialize in building custom command and response vehicles for Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement agencies nationwide. We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Installation Technician to join our growing team.

Summary

As an Install Technician, you will be responsible for upfitting emergency vehicles with specialized equipment. This includes custom electrical wiring, fabrication, lighting

systems, and interior installations. You’ll work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment to build high-quality vehicles that serve first responders.

Key Responsibilities

· Install emergency lighting, sirens, radios, and other vehicle electronics

· Perform custom wiring for 12V DC and 120V AC systems

· Fabricate and install vehicle-specific components (consoles, cabinetry, etc.)

· Assist with mechanical modifications and basic vehicle repairs

· Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

· Follow build checklists and meet customer specifications

· Support service and repair work as needed

Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED (required)

· 5+ years of experience with 12V DC/120V AC electrical systems (preferred)

· Automotive modification experience (lighting, audio, plows, etc.)

· Mechanical background is a strong plus

· Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions

· Effective communication skills

· Team player with a customer-focused attitude

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

· Standing for long periods (up to 8+ hours per day)

· Frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs

· Exposure to noise, chemical fumes, and vehicle exhaust

· Work may occur in a non-climate-controlled shop (no A/C)

· Fast-paced environment with changing customer needs
