RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Research and fact-finding
    • Reviewing technical and non-technical documentation (change orders, blueprints and technical engineering drawing, reports, cost estimates, correspondence, market data, financial data, etc....) to identify key details and metrics used to develop expert reports.
    • Through research, develop keen understanding of all relevant information pertaining to legal disputes regarding largescale construction projects
  • Detailed data analysis
    • Review large datasets using multiple analytical methods and tools to identify tends, anomalies, and other details which may have led to cost and schedule overruns
  • Quantification of cost overruns and damages
    • Knowledge of project job costs and controls (or desire to learn)
    • Apply analytical methods to large datasets to calculate damages and cost overruns in largescale construction projects
    • Assist in drafting expert reports, converting technical data into a narrative to be submitted to appropriate court venues
  • Economic modeling
    • Analyzing financial data and market data to determine lost profits due to schedule delays and cost overruns.
  • Case strategy
    • Assist colleagues and executives in identifying the best approach to individual litigation/arbitration matters to assist clients in attaining a desired legal decision
  • Supporting world-renowned Quantum experts in dispute resolution, litigation support and expert witness testimony

REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree level education in Engineering, Construction or Quantity Surveying related field, Master's degree and/or Professional Engineer's license preferred but not required.
  • Ideally at least 1 year of relevant engineering, construction, or project management related industry experience (but not required)
  • Experience in writing or contributing to Quantum Expert (or technical) reports (or desire to learn)
  • Familiarity with construction cost management
  • Broad experience across a range of construction/engineering projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and comfortable with large sets of data
  • Able to adapt to a dynamic consultancy environment.
  • Able to develop creative approaches and solutions necessary to resolve complex problems
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willing to occasionally travel within the US and/or internationally
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship in the future
