Job description

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Swiss Set-Up Operator III to join our team! This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on expertise in Swiss-style CNC turning who enjoys problem-solving, mentoring others, and producing high-quality precision components in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines for production, including tooling selection, material loading, and part setup
  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications to guide machining processes
  • Program CNC Swiss machines using CAM software (such as Esprit or PartMaker) or manual programming methods
  • Run test programs, perform trial cuts, and validate accuracy through inspection and measurement
  • Monitor production to ensure quality, precision, and on-time delivery
  • Troubleshoot complex machining issues and optimize programs for performance and efficiency
  • Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve processes and overall output
  • Train and mentor junior machinists on setup, operation, and programming techniques
  • Perform routine machine maintenance to keep equipment running efficiently
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace at all times
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with CNC Swiss machining in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong programming skills (G-code/M-code) and experience with CAM software
  • Deep understanding of Swiss machining processes, tooling, materials, and tight tolerances
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
  • Proven problem-solving skills, especially in troubleshooting and process improvement
  • High attention to detail and commitment to precision and quality
  • Strong communication and leadership ability, with experience guiding or mentoring others
  • Safety-focused mindset and commitment to best practices
Education
  • Technical certification or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
