Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Autism Clinic

Position Summary
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct one-on-one and group behavioral intervention services to those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT implements individualized treatment plans designed to improve communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs as designed by the BCBA.
  • Provide direct therapy services to clients in a clinic setting.
  • Collect and accurately record data on client progress and behavior.
  • Assist clients in developing communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills.
  • Utilize positive reinforcement and evidence-based behavioral strategies to reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Follow behavior intervention plans and treatment protocols.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding client progress.
  • Participate in training, supervision, and ongoing professional development activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive therapeutic environment.
  • Complete documentation and session notes accurately and timely.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
  • Current RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) required or ability to obtain certification within designated timeframe.
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and accept clinical feedback.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and actively engage with clients throughout the workday.
