Job description

Seeking 2 Medical Oncologists - Northeast Ohio
Cancer Center is seeking 2 highly qualified medical oncologists - one general, focused on all disease types and one with an interest in sub-specializing in breast cancer - to serve Hospital's growing hematology and oncology services. Hospital recently opened a comprehensive cancer center, Family Cancer Center, in the summer of 2022. With the new Family Cancer Center currently open, there couldn t be a more exciting time to be part of our organization!
The Cancer Center Features
45,000 Sq. Ft. two story addition with a modern design that enhances collaboration between healthcare team members
13,270 Sq. Ft. Renovation of Radiation Oncology including complete upgrade of technology and equipment
Multidisciplinary clinic space
Supportive and clinical services such as patient navigation, clinical trials, and the cancer registry will be in the same location allowing seamless access for patients and providers.
One centralized entrance and patient drop off
Infusion areas that expand patient privacy and improve treatment
Family respite areas and gardens to promote wellness and comfort
Cancer Center s dedicated team of professionals provide compassionate and personalized cancer care to our community with state-of-the-art technology and exceptional talent. The program diagnoses and treats over 1700 new cancer cases annually across the system and includes a comprehensive complement of other cancer specialists including hematology/oncology, gynecologic oncology, fellowship trained breast surgeon, general surgeons, advanced plastic surgery, urologists, thoracic surgery, interventional oncology, neurosurgeons, and palliative care.
Supportive services include nurse navigators, dietitian, social worker, support groups. Hospital provides the most comprehensive, dedicated cancer care to the County and surrounding areas. The program is accredited by the Commission on Cancer, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, and the American College of Radiation Oncology. Research and clinical trials are also a large part of the program with a nationally recognized clinical trials department offering both cooperative and pharmaceutical research studies with over 37 active clinical trials open.
Qualifications
Established and new physicians and physicians are encouraged to apply. Board certification or eligibility in Oncology and Hematology is expected.
