Interventional Radiologist – Altoona, Pennsylvania

Clinical Opportunity

A world-class, integrated health system is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Radiologist to join a well-established radiology department at a busy community hospital in central Pennsylvania.

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, be BC/BE in Radiology, and be eligible for an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license. The ideal physician is proficient in core interventional radiology procedures typically performed in a community hospital setting.

Position Highlights
  • Full-time or part-time options

  • Flexible scheduling

  • Call schedule: 1:3 or 1:4

Radiology Department
  • Join a team of 19 radiologists, including:

    • 6 Neuroradiology / MSK / Body Imaging

    • 2 Interventional Radiologists

    • 2 Mammographers (1 part-time)

    • 2 Nuclear Medicine / PET Radiologists

  • Supported by physician extenders and experienced nursing staff

  • Part of one of the largest academic radiology departments in the country, with:

    • 170+ radiologists

    • 42 research faculty

    • 66 residents and fellows

  • Strong teleradiology support from the health system
