Audio Visual Supervisor
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Audio-Visual Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth and successful operation and setup of all functions that require audio visual equipment. To ensure accurate tracking of equipment and protecting and caring for assets. You will assist the Banquet Team to operate in a "for-profit" environment as well as ensure guest service is beyond expectations so that the Resort will meet and/or exceed budgeted expectations.
As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll ensure seamless, high-quality technology for guest events and entertainment while supporting associates with reliable AV solutions. Their work behind the scenes helps create memorable experiences and keeps operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assist with setup and teardown of audio-visual equipment for assigned functions and events.
  • Greet and maintain warm, hospitable guest relations in all guest contact.
  • Report all AV needs so proper supplies can be ordered and remove all AV from rooms when not in use.
  • Maintain constant communication with Banquet and Setup Managers.
  • Supervise the work of staff by delegating assignments and checking the quality of completed work.
  • Assist in providing an issue free work environment through motivation, support, consistency, training and development for all associates.
  • Understand all duties of Banquet Teams and assist when needed.

What We're Looking For
  • Must have at least 2 years of banquets and/or audio-visual experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Prior experience as an audio technician is required.
  • Must have a broad understanding of the tourism industry and the day-to-day operations of a hotel/resort and convention center operations are helpful.
  • Must be a team player, willing to help anyone in the immediate area at a minute's notice.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivator, and able to work independently.
  • Flexible long hours are sometimes required, including weekends and holidays.
