Join an ICU/Critical Care team in Ruston, LA as a Registered Nurse (RN). This 13-week travel assignment is ideal for an experienced critical care clinician who is comfortable caring for seriously ill patients, coordinating complex care plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements:
  • Current, unencumbered Louisiana RN license.
  • 1 year of experience required.

  • Base Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Pay Rate: $65/hr local, $36/hr travel, plus $1,246 stipend
  • Shift Type: Nights
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary:

The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized critical care to seriously ill patients, ensuring care is delivered safely and efficiently. The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, coordinating care plans, and using critical nursing skills to support the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and their families.

Qualifications:
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Current Louisiana RN license.
  • 1+ year of experience required.
Responsibilities:
  • Assume full responsibility for a group of critically ill patients during each shift, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care based on patient needs.
  • Provide specialized critical care for complex conditions such as multi-organ failure, post-surgical recovery, and other life-threatening conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on the care plan, procedures, and follow-up steps for post-ICU recovery.
  • Use advanced monitoring equipment and nursing interventions to continuously assess patient condition and adjust care plans as needed.
