Commissary Operations Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of commissaries, which are large-scale kitchens or food preparation facilities serving institutions such as military bases, prisons, or food service companies. Their duties include managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene regulations, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory. They also develop operational procedures to improve efficiency and may handle budgeting and financial reporting. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
