Job description

Position Information

  • Job Title: Commissary Delivery & Distribution Coordinator
  • Location: Based out of Tiger Commissary Warehouse – 401 N 6th Street Chickasha, OK 73018
  • Schedule: Part Time, 8am-5pm (normally Tues, Wed & Thur)
  • Pay: $16.00 per hour

*Must have valid driver’s license*

**Must be at least 21 years of age**

Position Purpose

To deliver and distribute commissary orders to inmates at various facilities, coordinate customer service needs, maintain safe and clean commissary storage area. 

Responsibilities

  • Represent company in a positive manner
  • Deliver order to facility in company vehicle.
  • Unload order at facility location
  • Transport inmate orders to assigned cell pods within the facility; facility officer must be present at all times.
  • Follow procedures for commissary distribution including, but not limited to, recording information in tablet/system, accounting for receipts, missing orders, shortages, etc. 
  • Positively identify the inmate before handing out their order. 
  • After delivering an order, allow the inmate to verify the order contents. 
  • Obtain the signature of the inmate receiving the order on the delivery receipt. 
  • Provide the inmate with a copy of the delivery receipt 
  • Maintain security clearance at the correctional facility by following security protocol and a high level of customer service 
  • Follow policies and procedures  
  • Operate company vehicles in a manner that meets federal & state requirements
  • Answer inmate requests or complaints concerning commissary services 
  • Communicate with county employees to ensure a high level of customer service. 
  • Dispose of all trash generated during the delivery process. 
  • Complete any additional duties assigned by the Commissary Operations Director and/or Commissary Warehouse Manager 
  • Maintains cleanliness & sanitation in the inventory and delivery area 
  • Follows all safety procedures to meet federal & state standards 
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required 

Physical Requirements & Safety

  • Proof of insurance
  • Drivers License required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to performs basic math: add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Must have average visual abilities necessary to read manuals & instructions 
  • Must have ability to stand a period of at least 3 to 4 hours at a time.   
  • Ability to have and hear normal conversations to receive information

Preferred Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of computer systems.
  • Delivery driving experience
