About This Position
Schedule will be Tuesday - Friday 8-10 hours per day depending on operational needs. 32-40 hours per week
The Commissary Operations Supervisor assists in the management of all aspects of commissary operations and services at the assigned correctional facility. The Supervisor will
assist with several aspects of the on-site operations department, including manpower coverage, security and inventory control. The Operations Lead must be ready to stand in and assist the Assistant Operations Manager at any time.
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Excel experience required
  • Assist and manage training of new team members
  • Maintain working knowledge of all phases of your department operations
  • Make sure employees are working where needed and employees are staying busy
  • Assist to maintain accurate inventories of all products
  • Complete required reporting
  • Provide recommendations on areas of improvement
  • Document and inform Management of all priority tasks and personnel problems
  • Report any problems, discrepancies, issues to Management in a timely manner with written documentation
  • Responsible for assisting with general upkeep of all areas/equipment/products in a neat, clean, and orderly manner
  • Set example to promote positive attitude and teamwork!
  • Take pride in your surroundings by helping maintain a clean workspace
  • Other duties as determined by the needs of the business
What You'll Need
  • Excel experience required
  • High school diploma or Equivalent, and you must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Familiarity with inventory management.
  • Familiarity with computers (including Microsoft Office programs).
  • Requires strong supervisory skills: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Ability to work in a correctional environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to define problems, and resolve them quickly.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
