Job description

 JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dependable, detail-orientated Clerk/Admin Assistant to support daily operations at a remote camp site on the North Slope of Alaska. This role is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, including managing the onsite commissary, handling cashiering duties, maintaining and filing payroll data, and other job tasks as assigned. 

  • Work Location: Remote Camp, North Slope, Alaska
  • Rotational Schedule: 3 weeks on/3 weeks off or 2 weeks on/2 weeks off; varies by job site
  • Work shifts: 12 hours/day (40 hrs straight time + 44 hrs OT per work week).
  • Travel: Flights between Anchorage and the job site are arranged and paid for by the company
  • Housing & Meals: Included (free)
  • Point of hire: Anchorage, AK

JOB DUTIES 

  • Maintain and update information on the DUS Computer Payroll system
  • Weekly Payroll entry and download to Payroll Dept. in Anchorage office 
  • Input weekly invoice/billing package for processing and payment 
  • Daily, weekly and monthly resident reports 
  • Assistance with signage/labeling when requested 
  • Filing – Payroll/Recapitulations 
  • Develop forms 
  • Maintain confidentiality 
  • Producing cost reports 
  • Cashier 
  • Stocking, Maintain Storage Rooms 
  • Maintain cash in cashbox and stamp lockbox 
  • Weekly Deposit, Ordering, Invoicing for payment 
  • Monthly Inventory 
  • Maintaining DUS ATM Machines 
  • Maintaining DUS Vending Machines 
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner 
  • Willingness to perform other duties as required 
  • Willingness to work at various locations as required 

                                          REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

                                          • High school diploma or equivalent  
                                          • Valid driver’s license 
                                          • Three years progressive office/clerical experience  
                                          • Cash register and money handling experience 
                                          • Proficient in MS Office 
                                          • Able to proficiently speak, read, understand and write English 
                                          • Reliable access to a smartphone capable of running apps for scheduling,
                                            timekeeping (clocking in/out), shift communications, and time-off requests
                                          • Must be able to pass the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen, criminal background investigation, and a post-offer physical/functional capacity evaluation. 

                                                      WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

                                                      • Work is performed indoors in a confined workspace within a remote camp setting
                                                      • Ability to remain on your feet for long shifts and perform repetitive physical tasks, including walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
                                                      • Must be comfortable living and working in a remote location with shared housing accommodations and communal facilities
                                                      • Teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential
                                                      • Strict adherence to safety, work procedures, and conduct standards
